  • Would Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail Work Well with RV that has 4 Step Pull Out Step
From the ground to the top of the platform on the Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail # EHS-103-R measures 27-1/2 inches. While I don't know exactly what the distance from the ground to the door threshold is on your 2016 Forest River Cardinal you can use a tape measure to verify that height to determine if this would work well. Most RVs with quadruple steps have a doorway height right at around 30 inches so this should be a really great height for your RV! The picture I attached should...

  • How To Correctly Measure For Trailer Steps For RV
Before I can find you the correct stairs with handrail I would need you to take a few measurements for me. You will first need to start by measuring the width of your current step assembly, followed by the height from step to step. Next you will want to measure from the center of the step assembly at the crossbar to the diagonal line at the edge of the bottom stair. For example The Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail and Landing # EHS-103-R when assembled is 28 inches wide and 61...

  • Does the Econo Porch Trailer Step RV Steps with Handrail Fold
The Econo Porch trailer Step with Handrail and Landing # EHS-103-R does fold. This unit folds laterally, in order to fold the steps you would have to detach 8 braces to allow the steps to fold. Then reattach these braces when you were ready to use the steps again. The handrail is also removable and interchangeable to either the right or left hand side. For your reference I have included a photo showing these steps folded.

  • What is the Weight of the Stromberg-Carlson Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail EHS-103-R
The actual weight of the Stromberg-Carlson Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail # EHS-103-R is right around 68-lbs. We offer several replacement parts and accessories for use with this step. For a replacement stabilizer to steady the step assembly you can use part # JSS-7 or # JSS-4.

  • Available RV Porch Steps with Railings
We offer both the Econo Porch Trailer Step # EHS-103-R with a right-hand railing and the version # EHS-103-R-HR that has both left and right railings. No left-railing-only version is offered.

  • Will the Lippert Steps # LC726895 Fit an Entry Level with a Height of 26 Inches?
I have a solution for you. Unfortunately, the Victory Step Manual Fold-Down Steps for RV and Toy Hauler Patios # LC726895 only fits on entry level heights of 30-45 inches tall. Unfortunately, we do not currently carry any bolt-on steps that fit stairs under 27-1/2 inches tall. With that being said, there are some stairs that do not bolt to your truck that will still get the job done. For this route, I recommend the Econo Porch Trailer Step w/ 2 Handrails and Landing # EHS-103-R. Since...

  • Stationary Stairs or Scissor Steps and How to Measure Height for Both
Deciding on what kind of stairs to use on your 5th wheel really just depends on how you would rather use them and what you are looking to get out of them. If you were looking for the easiest to use when it comes to climbing up and down the stairs, then I believe the Econo Porch Trailer Step # EHS-103-R would be very easy. It feels more like conventional steps that everyone is used to so they would feel the most comfortable. These steps have a weight capacity of 350 lbs and the upper landing...

  • Replacement Steps for Seasonal 5th Wheel with Door 38 Off Ground
I have a solution for you, but as far as porch style trailer steps go, the Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail # EHS-103-R is going to be the tallest step we have available. I recommend going with the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution # TLA9005 . These steps can be used for entries 34-7/8" to 42-3/8" and the steps have a rise/drop of 7-1/2" which is going to keep you from having to step up too high/too far down at any point. They easily pull out from the trailer and the scissor design allows...

  • Recommended 5 Step Assembly for Swim Spa
I may have a solution for you, however the Stromberg Carlson Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail # EHS-103-R referenced in your question is not available in a 5 step assembly. For a 5 step unit, I recommend looking at scissor steps such as the Brophy # AS25. These 24 inch wide aluminum steps can expand from 40 inches to 48 inches tall and fold up for storage when not in use. The mounting bracket and hardware is included and the aluminum construction makes for a sturdy but lightweight...

  • Recommended Steps for Uneven Ground that Adjust to the Terrain for Level Treads
The Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail and Landing - Triple - 7" Drop/Rise, 27-1/2" Tall # EHS-103-R are not going to work well on uneven ground. They are designed to be used on level or close to level applications. For a step that will allow that uneven ground application while still giving you level steps, I recommend the TorkLift GlowStep Stow N' Go Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear - 3 Steps - 350 lbs - Black Bracket # TLA7833. This will also give you the glowing assistance for...

  • Is There An Easy Way To Fold The Econo Porch Trailer Step For Traveling
The only way to fold the Econo Porch Trailer Step, part # EHS-103-R is to loosen the 2 braces on each step and remove the handrail. This will allow the step to fold down for traveling. I am not sure if that is an easy way, but that is the way the system is designed.

  • Can Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail # EHS-103-R be Used on Fifth Wheel That Sits Higher
The top landing on the Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail, # EHS-103-R, sits at 28 inches high. If your fifth wheel trailer sits approximately 7 inches higher, you are correct, it would take one more step to enter your trailer. Please do keep in mind that the hand rail ends at the landing so you would not have one for that last step into the trailer. Other than that, you should have no problems using these steps for your fifth wheel.

  • Will Econo Porch Trailer Step # EHS-103-R Fit Over Existing Steps on Arctic Wolf 5th Wheel Trailer
There are a couple of support straps at the top step/landing that would likely be in the way and prevent Econo Porch Trailer Step # EHS-103-R from fitting around your existing steps. The height from the ground to the top step is 27-1/2 inches. From the ground to where that strap starts is about 18-1/2 inches. If those support straps weren't there then it would most likely work.

  • Recommended Support for Econo Porch Trailer Step
The Econo Porch Trailer Step w/ 2 Handrails and Landing - Triple - 7" Drop/Rise, 27-1/2" Tall # EHS-103-R-HR can be used as a back step. Because you will only be using one of the handrails, you may want # EHS-103-R to save that cost. You may be interested in the Stabil-Step Stabilizers # JSS-4, # JSS-7, or # JSS-85 for increased support. There is not a specific rail for the back of the stairs when used as you suggested, so you may want to consider adding a folding handrail like # AC-300...

  • How to Determine Which Height Econo Porch Step from Stromberg an RV Needs
The overall height of the highest step on the Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail and Landing # EHS-102-R is 20-1/2 inches. If you need a higher step you'd want the part # EHS-103-R which has an additional step and measures 27-1/2 inches in height. You'd have to compare that to the threshold height of your RV to know if this would be a good fit.

  • Are The Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail and Landing # EHS-103-R Shipped Assembled?
The Econo Porch Trailer Step with Handrail and Landing # EHS-103-R do ship mostly assembled. To set up these steps you will remove them from the box and raise the steps. There are 8 struts that are only bolted on one side of the steps. When you stand up the steps you will bolt the struts up with the 8 nuts and bolts to hold the steps in the upright position. The handle will then be attached with the 2 longer bolts that come with the steps.

Yes, my contact at Stromberg-Carlson confirmed that the 8 cross braces on their Porch Trailer Step # EHS-103-R need to be screwed into place each time the step is used. This unit comes fully assembled except for the handrail, which attaches on either side with two nuts and bolts, and the cross braces which also attach with their included nuts and bolts. We do offer other steps including scissor-type extending steps like the Brophy # AS03 that install permanently and extend when needed....
